April Update: Easter Celebration – A grateful moment.

April Update - One Vision Haiti

New month, new update from Haiti! We pray that you are encouraged by the ways God is moving and working at the orphanage, in our kids and staff, and the country of Haiti. Please join us in prayer for the things Francisco shares in this update.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

–John 3:16

Despite the hard times our country is going through right now, we can’t forget about Easter. It’s a moment for us to worship God for his love and mercy. We are still praying and working for the sake of our children. What is important for us is to make sure that our children have fun every time so that they can be relaxed and not worry about the situation.

Update on COVID-19

We know that everyone is in trouble now, but we still have to worship God and thank him on that special day.

Due to the Coronavirus, the children could not go to school. Thus, the staff has planned a new way to keep on with the education of our children. Next week, the kids will be able to go to school. We have taken new disposals to allow the kids to continue with their education. We are going to focus on the most important subjects: Math, Physics, Social Studies, and French.

The teachers selected will have to wear blouses, gloves, boots, and face masks. They will have to respect the distance required and wash their hands before getting into the classrooms. We also have another option to see how we can confine one of our employees in the orphanage, to have more help with the children. We also think about how the laboratory class would help the teachers and the children. The kids would be able to attend their classes online. Unfortunately, the kids will have to be in class to continue the school year.

No matter how scary the situation is now, we believe that God has already planned good things for us. God loves us, as he said in Jeremiah 31:3: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” Don’t let this situation make us weak. We have to fight against it and move forward. We have to be in peace like Jesus said in John 20:19: “Peace be to you.”

Remember!!! We need to be strong enough for our children. They are the future generation. It is our duty to protect them, feed them, and educate them no matter what.

The kids need us more than ever. That’s why we require more assistance and more prayer from you. Your financial and spiritual help are crucial in this moment. We thank you for your consistent prayer. We thank GOD for his compassion towards us. We believe that God is the only one who can save us from any kind of disease, because he always proves how powerful he is through what he has done for us. We will keep on praying for one another. We count on your support.
