July Update: What about our children?

” Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer, in petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Philippians 4:6

Haiti

How could we imagine this would happen to the president of the country?

How can we still feel secure and calm despite of everything?

We know… everyone in this country should have been concerned about this awful news and we should have been scared and alarmed, knowing that even our president was not safe.

If it was up to us, our questions would have been: What about our children? Can we still hope a bright future for them in this country?”

Fortunately, we, at One Vision, are not alone.

We have the Lord of all as friend and father.

Although this terrible situation, we keep striving with the kids to have a better life and to continue with our mission. It’s not only about feeding and upbringing the children, it’s also important for us to make them feel safe and comfortable no matter what could happen in this country.

God has taught us to be calm and patient when everything seems dark.

GOD IS IN CONTROL.

We also know that you, our family, have been praying for us.

Please, continue to do it!

We feel relieved when we know that there are great people who are thinking about us, and who are willing to help us and pray for us. This is the goodness of God.

We can’t change what happened. We can’t keep thinking about it.

All we can do is to move on, and continue to pursue our vision and mission.

Our children and staff are safe and well. As the schedule of the State exam has changed to a week after, so the children are preparing in order to be ready and successful.

We want to thank you for having replied to our request last month.

Thank YOU so much for always being there for us.

Please, pray for Haiti. Pray for our children.

Our only shelter is God.
